An Eye-Douching

I meant to post this the other day but I forgot. If you have the time there is an interesting article in the NY Times about kids, the internet and reading. Whether what you’re reading on the internet is really reading and is the internet the reason for the decline in standardized test scores. It’s a little lengthy (four pages) but interesting. Now I’m off to class.

Literacy Debate

I wasn’t going to post anything today, because I’m a lazy bum. But this warrants posting. I’ve only read one graphic novel before and it was the Watchmen. It’s fucking amazing. It was written by Alan Moore. He also wrote V for Vendetta. The crazy thing is he doesn’t support any of his novels that are turned into films. He hasn’t seen V for Vendetta and he’s not part of this project. but anyway, the movie looks fuckin’ crazy. Every scene in the trailer is an exact replication of a scene in the comic. This shit just gave me an eyegasm. I hate comic book movies, but this one is a definately must see for me. Here’s the trailer. Oh and Apple has it in high definition.

Just finished this book a couple days ago. It’s great. Read it. Love It. I lend it to you if you don’t wanna buy it.
